Dr J Gerald Benjamin (MB. ChB. DA. DOcc Med. Cert GAM) 

I hold private pilot's licences for fixed wing aircraft and helicopters and have been a member of Sheffield Aero Club since 1991. 

I am an Approved Medical Examiner and am rated to perform:

• JAR Class 1 and Class 2 medical examinations (Professional and private pilots).

• Examinations for Air Traffic Controllers, Balloon Pilots etc. 

• I am not authorised to perform medical assessment or sign the medical forms for the National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL). This can only be done by the applicant's general practitioner.

I hold the Certificate in General Aviation Medicine and am also a part-time occupational physician and a retired general practitioner.
