Examination Fees
On 1st January 2010 VAT increased from 15% to 17.5%. Sorry folks, there is nothing I can do about this. However, I have tried to minimise any fee increases, which have not been raised for private pilots for over two years. (the actual fee increase for private pilots is only 2%). In addition, the CAA has introduce a £3.00 charge for all private pilot medicals and increased their fee for Class 1 medicals from £9 to £13. I have incorporated these fees into the fee structure. So there will be:
- a VAT increase to 17.5%
- A minimal increase in the Class 2 fee, incorporating the CAA fee
- Discounts for ALL professional pilots who cannot reclaim their fees (For example, unemployed pilots, professional pilots in training, Ryanair and similar) -
£60 discount on medical fee - NO FURTHER FEES INCREASE FOR THE WHOLE OF 2010
