Examination Fees

NEW FEE STRUCTURE FOR ALL PILOTS FROM 4th January 2011

From 04 January 2011a new flat-rate fee will be introduced for private pilots that includes all fees, including the CAA fee, ECG and blood tests, etc. For most, the actual fee increase will just be £5. For others, e.g. Initial Class 2 pilots, the fee will actually reduce by £7.50.

The only exception is for pilots whose renewal/revalidation medicals require no extras such as ECG or audiogram and they will pay at the lower rate (see below)

Commercial Pilots who are unable to reclaim their fees will enjoy a 30% discount

VAT will be charged at the new rate of 20%.

Methods of Payment

Payment by Debit Card (Maestro, Visa, etc.), Credit Card, cheque or cash, please.

Debit cards will not be surcharged. Credit Cards/Company Credit Cards will attract a 2% surcharge.

Please note that pilots employed by Thomson Airways and Jet2.com will not need to pay for their medicals as the companies hold accounts with me and will be billed directly.
